Supporting Your Parish with Catholic Burial Traditions

Dear Pastor/Parish Administrator,

As funeral and burial customs continue to evolve, Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Newark is here to support your parish in guiding families through these important decisions in accordance with Church teachings. Many families today opt for direct cremation without understanding the significance of honoring their loved ones through the rites and traditions of the Church.

To assist your parish community, we invite you to host a “Meet and Greet” weekend with our Memorial Planning Advisors (MPAs). Our advisors can be available after each Mass to provide information and answer questions—without the need to speak during the liturgy unless you prefer.

Scheduling is simple. You can fill out our online form on this page.

Together, we can help parishioners make informed decisions that honor the body in anticipation of the resurrection promised by Christ our Lord. We look forward to partnering with you in this important ministry.

Fraternally,
Rev. Michael Barone
