Maryrest, established in 1935 to meet the needs of Catholic families in Bergen County and the surrounding areas, honors Mary, the Virgin Mother of Jesus, and roots its mission in Mary’s experience of cradling the broken body of her crucified Son. This image mirrors what our Catholic faith strives to emulate through the Catholic cemetery tradition.

For the past 160 years the Archdiocesan Cemetery Program has provided the final resting place for more than 1,000,000 Catholics.
